ANA is a volunteer-run solidarity collective based in Amsterdam. We help women and pregnant people who cannot access safe abortion in their home country come to the Netherlands, the only EU country where abortion is available on demand until 23 weeks. We help with information, clinic appointments, travel logistics, and when needed, we cover the cost of the procedure itself. No one is turned away because of money. In 2025 alone we have supported over 500 clients. Last April alone we covered 11,000 euros in abortion care costs. Abortion is healthcare. It should be covered. But for non-residents, undocumented people, exchange students, and migrants in the Netherlands, it is not. An abortion here can cost up to 1,350 euros before the fight, hotel, days of work or childcare. We have no grants. No government funding. No safety net. Just people who care. That is where you come in.
